Ingredients:

1 lb ground beef
onion, finely chopped
garlic cloves, minced
carrot, grated
celery, finely chopped
1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
2 Tbsps tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1 tsp Oregano
1 tsp dried basil leaves
  salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  olive oil
1 lb spaghetti
  grated Parmesan cheese, if desired
  fresh basil leaves, for garnish

Cooking Directions:

1. Cook the Pasta

2. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil

3. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente

4. Drain the pasta and set aside

5. Prepare the Bolognese Sauce

6. In a large skillet or saucepan, heat a couple of tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat

7. Add chopped onions and garlic, and sauté until they become translucent

8. Cook the Ground Beef

9. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks

10. Add Vegetables

11. Stir in the grated carrot and chopped celery. Cook for a few minutes until the vegetables are softened

12. Prepare Tomato Base

13. Add the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, and dried basil to the skillet. Mix well

14. Pour in the beef broth, season with salt and pepper, and bring the mixture to a simmer

15. Simmer and Cook

16. Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let the sauce simmer for at least 20-30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Stir occasionally

17. Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary

18. Serve the Bolognese sauce over the cooked spaghetti

19. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil or parsley if desired.
